2022 Year in Review
It was another great year for the Greencastle Civic League and we are thankful for our members and donors in making so much happen!
ParkFest was another huge success with great weather and amazing music. We had our largest audiences yet and can’t wait for another huge season next summer.
As part of our Clean City initiatives, we picked up lots of trash on Veteran’s Highway, a regular spring and fall activity to help keep our streets clean. And we helped clean up after the Fair parade, another great community tradition.
We served up lots of pancakes to the runners on July 4th, which is a huge fundraiser for our organization.
We supported our members and colleagues leading up the Putnam County Mural Project with their first ever festival, which brought six fantastic murals to the county, including three in downtown Greencastle.
And we continued our support of the arts with our annual downtown Halloween window decorating contest, which brought in more businesses and painters than ever before.
To wrap up the year, we have partnered again with the Greencastle Parks & Recreation Department on the Winter Wonderland Lights Festival, lighting up almost all of Robe Ann Park with over 130,000 lights!
