What we’re up to:
We’re actively raising funds to support a new bandshell at Robe-Ann Park. Interested in donating? Learn more about how you can donate and get a great tax break.

Thanks to a surprise gift from 100 Women Who Care, we used their $900 and put in $100 of our own to purchase decorations for five lampposts in Greencastle. On Giving Tuesday (Nov. 28) we raised more than $200 to add to that project!

What we’ve done:
It’s been a great year so far. Thanks for a wonderful summer at Robe-Ann Park for music, food and fun at ParkFest, and for the annual 4th of July pancake breakfast.

We’re also proud to have completed our Bicentennial Tree Project, planting  28 trees in celebration of Indiana’s Bicentennial. With generous funding from the Putnam County Community Foundation and additional donors to the Civic League, trees have been planted at Deer Meadow Primary, Ridpath Primary, Tzouanakis Intermediate and Greencastle Senior High schools, Beyond Homeless, City Hall, Robe-Ann Park and Big Walnut Sports Park. Thanks to all involved in helping dig holes and plant trees, which were all purchased locally from Snowy Pines Tree Farm. Check out our map for where you can find these trees.

This year, our members also cleaned up Veterans Memorial Highway (twice) and after the fair parade.

Over the years we’ve supported mural projects around the city, the construction of the Emerald Palace playground at Robe-Ann Park and the creation of the Bob York Splash Park.
